When Richard retired from running his own business at the age of 85, he turned his attention to encouraging people in his village to reduce their use of single-use plastics. He volunteered with a local charity aimed at building friendships between young and old, through which he shared the message about the importance of eliminating plastic, like straws and coffee cups.
Sadly, Richard passed away in 2020, at the age of 90. Given his passion for the environment and support for the work of the young generation, his family were delighted to come across KAP for his funeral donations and know how proud he would be to have supported the amazing work that Amy and Ella do.
It seemed fitting to use the donation from Richard’s family towards Ella’s KAP Club.
