People will be able to refill water bottles for free in tens of thousands of places in England in future via a new national scheme by the water industry. It’s hoped the scheme will cut plastic bottle use by tens of millions each year. Plastic bottles are consistently in the MCS Top 10 litter finds on UK beaches – last year our volunteers reported finding 3,819 over just one weekend alone.
