Experts back ‘latte levy’ in Scotland

A panel of environmental experts in Scotland has recommended putting a charge on each disposable coffee cup – a ‘latte levy’ – to help cut down on waste. The panel advised introducing a national, mandatory requirement to sell drinks and disposable cups separately to include an initial minimum price of between 20-25p per cup.
