Bluefin trade ban rejection is missed opportunity says MCS

Following the rejection for a ban on the international trade of bluefin tuna at the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna (CITES) in Doha, Melissa Pritchard, Fisheries Policy Officer at the Marine Conservation Society says she’s extremely disappointed with the vote “We are disappointed and disgusted that the vote on the CITES appendix 1 listing of the majestic bluefin was defeated this morning.
